Many clinics price stem cell therapy per joint, so two knees and a hip can mean three separate charges. We do it differently. Your first treatment is one flat fee of $16,500 that covers up to 4 joints that need it, and the IV dose is always included.
| Treatment | What’s included | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Joints (first treatment) | Up to 4 joints, plus the IV dose and acoustic wave therapy (AWT) | $16,500 |
| Spine: back or neck (first treatment) | Spine treatment, plus the IV dose and AWT | $19,000 |
Your exact plan and price are confirmed in writing after your consultation and medical review. As of 2026, Medicare and private insurance do not cover stem cell treatment. Out-of-town patients receive a complimentary hotel stay.
Most of our patients are 50 or older and live with joint pain from arthritis, old injuries or wear and tear. Many also manage other health conditions. Your consultation looks at the whole picture.
Many of our patients come to us for knee pain. One or both knees can be part of the same flat fee.
For stiffness and pain that limit walking, stairs or sleep, often alongside knee or back pain.
For pain with reaching, lifting or lying on your side. Shoulders count toward the same 4-joint fee.
Spine treatment is priced on its own, at $19,000, with the IV dose and AWT included.
Other joints, such as the foot, ankle, big toe, elbow or hand, can also be reviewed. See stem cell therapy for arthritis or who may qualify. Stem cell therapy is not FDA-approved for these uses. Individual results vary.

Your free consultation is with one of our patient consultants. They go over your joint pain, health history and any imaging you have, answer your questions about treatment and cost, and explain whether stem cell therapy may fit your situation. You receive a written plan and price.
Prefer to start with the doctor? You can choose a first consultation with Dr. Johnson for a $97 fee. These are held in the morning, in person or by video.
You usually do not need a new MRI: we request your records and use ultrasound on the day. Pre-procedure bloodwork can be done at a LabCorp near you and is often billed to your insurance.
A small amount of your fat is collected with a gentle liposuction under local anesthesia. Your cells are processed in our office, tested for count and viability, and returned to you the same day: about 100 million of your own cells, never frozen and never donor cells. You also receive the IV dose and AWT.
Dr. Johnson explains the different stem cell sources you may see advertised, and why our clinic uses your own fat-derived cells. Learn more in stem cell sources explained.

Dr. Bill Johnson is the founder and medical director of Innovations Stem Cell Center. A physician since 1983 with an internal medicine background, he has cared for patients in Dallas–Fort Worth since 2000 and has offered fat-derived stem cell therapy since late 2012.
Internal medicine is the care of the whole adult patient. Before any procedure, Dr. Johnson looks at conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, medications that can affect bleeding or healing, and your goals. Sometimes the honest answer is that another option should come first.
He has been featured on Dallas TV news, including the WFAA segment here.
